Course Description This class will explore and explain the requirements, fundamentals, and techniques of professional musicianship. It will feature trained musicians who will give insight on the various facets of being a skillful musician. (This class is for IMD Registered Orchestra Members.) Our objective is to provide a learning and sharing environment and equipped musicians to take their musicianship to the next level.
Course Outline
Session A: Music Theory, Techniques, and Exercises We will discuss and conduct various exercises dealing with music theory, scales, sight-reading, articulation, tone, blend and dynamics.
Session B: Master Classes During the Master Class session, the musicians are divided into groups of like instruments. A skillful musician will instruct each group, discussing and demonstrating better playing techniques specific to their instrument.
Special Session—Starting and Growing an Instrumental Music Ministry in your Jurisdiction A one-day special session will be held for those interested in beginning an Instrumental Music Ministry in their Jurisdiction.
